Swaminarayan Temple(Mandir), Bhuj situated in Kutch district.
Built Date: 15 May 1823Shree Swaminarayan Mandir is one of the most peaceful place in bhuj. This temple was constructed by lord swaminarayan, founder of the swaminarayan sampraday.
This is a Hindu temple and Narnarayan Dev murti is placed in the mandir (temple).
Bhuj is one of the six places where Lord Shree Swaminarayan constructed the temple Himself. This divine thought of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan alone signifies the vast amount of spirituality the land of Kutchh offered not only in the past but even today.
The temple is made up of marble stone and sculpture of the temple is too attractive. There is a giant gate at the entrance of the temple, then a small garden area makes the place more beautiful.
The place is visited by many local people and also by torists. This temple is near of Kutchh Museum.
The Gujarat Earthquake of January 2001 destroyed much of the city of Bhuj, including the side of the temple facing north. Miraculously the divine idols remained as they were, without any damage whatsoever. The saints and satsangis of Kutchh residing in India and satsangis living abroad, have resolved to construct a new temple a short distance away from the site.
